Human Resources Management Service (HRMS)
The main function of the Human Resources Management Service (HRMS), working in partnership with programme managers, is to attract and retain staff of the highest quality, whose skills are in line with the operational priorities of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV). Moreover, HRMS is responsible for helping staff members to develop their careers and, at the same time, contribute to the success of the Organization.
The services provided include:
- Formulating of human resources management policies and provision of policy advice
- Recruiting, placing and promoting UNOV and UNODC staff; as well as management of the organizational mobility scheme
- Administrating contracts and entitlements for all UNOV and UNODC staff
- Promoting a continuous learning culture, competency development and professional excellence to meet the dynamic needs of UNOV and UNODC
- Providing career counselling
- Supporting informal mechanisms for ensuring the resolution of grievances at an early stage
