Visitors service
Along with New York, Geneva and Nairobi, the Vienna International Centre (VIC) is one of the four headquarters of the United Nations. Visitors have the opportunity to get a first-hand look round the VIC and learn more about the United Nations.
Multilingual guides of different nationalities will show you round the buildings and inform you about the United Nations and the work of the Vienna-based organizations in fields such as drugs and crime, the peaceful uses of nuclear energy and space technology, industrial development and the care of refugees.
Lasting approximately one hour, the tours take in exhibitions, usually visit a conference room and the communal areas of the VIC and give you a taste of the fascinating world of the United Nations.
Tours in English or German are offered three times a day, and group tours in any of more than a dozen other languages are available if prior notice is given. Groups of schoolchildren are also welcome.
